Sophie is ideal for a range of uses in the home, including fixed upholstery, loose covers, blinds, curtains and scatter cushions. As an absorbent, washable and durable flat weave pile, it is both pet and child friendly. Sophie scores 30,000 on the Martindale test meaning it is suitable for use in the home. Sophie comes as non flame retardant which is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. If you require this fabric for fixed upholstery, please choose the domestic flame retardant (FR) option. Sophie is not offered as a contract cloth.

For fixed upholstered items wipe with ordinary detergent and remove common stains as soon as possible. Sophie is machine washable at 40 degrees and is also suitable for dry cleaning – machine washing your linen will soften it over time, whereas dry cleaning helps to retain the stiffness of a new linen. As with all fabrics, constant care will repay – plump and turn your cushions regularly to maintain the appearance of your furniture and use a hand held vacuum regularly to remove excess dirt and dust.
